Dr Craig Considine gives a public lecture at the Irish School of Ecumenics

Dr Maja Halilovic-Pastuovic organised a public lecture by Dr Craig Considine in the Irish School of Ecumenics. Dr. Craig Considine is a Catholic American of Irish and Italian descent. His first book – Islam, race and Pluralism in the Pakistani Diaspora explored the politics of fear and the language of “us” and “them” between Pakistanis, Muslims, Americans, and the Irish. Considine’s second book – Muslims in America: Examining the Facts – is set for publication in the summer of 2018. Considine is known for his interfaith activism and his research on Prophet Muhammad’s covenants with Christians. He currently serves as a faculty member of the Department of Sociology at Rice University. He holds a PhD from Trinity College Dublin, an MSc from the University of London, and a BA from American University in Washington, DC. Considine will continues to collaborate with GATED project.
